Need some Newbie Help! Bike won't start!

I think the lever itself can not be problem as it does not appear to directly engage with the switch but the housing itself may allow the switch to not properly engage with the lever's action.
This seems a good price though if I was in UK.

Think about it ....
The housing does not move, only the lever moves
The lever is absolutely what operates the switch - the housing for the switch is simply that, merely the part that holds the switch in place
There should be a tab on the underside of the lever which operates the switch - in relaxed position the tab presses against the plunger pin & opens the switch; when you pull lever the tab moves away from contacting the pin allowing it to extend out, closing the switch

Here is a random thought. Is the tab/plunger damaged?. I have seen this sort of thing when "persuasion" rather than "enticement" is used to fit levers.

Aahh, I was thinking the switch may be moving in the housing when pressure is applied by lever. I supposed if lugs on switch worn or seating in the housing damaged in some way that could happen. I will have to look at it more closely.

If the switch stays closed when not mounted and engine starts and runs fine why would it stop ignition working when the same switch is located in the housing even without pulling the lever? (i.e. open switch when located in clutch lever housing with lever disengaged.) Maybe I am not thinking clearly, its after 2.00am and I was up till 4.00am yesterday .

Right now, with switch out of socket (& the kill/run switch in kill) as you approach bike and it disarms, the headlights should come on (but ignition won't come on and it won't latch)
If you then just press the plunger the lights should go out - and back on as you release it again
If that functions as described then the switch is good and the problem is with the mechanical interface
If it does not respond as described then problem with switch

** Note for non-keyless owners - you might have problem following this - the clutch switch is used as a trigger to turn on my keyless system so all above is specific to how switch works in that context; on key systems has nothing to do with the ignition circuit, only start interlock

Hey Guys,

Shout out to @DEcosse! He is awesome! Took time to help me troubleshoot my bike today! Found out it was the aftermarket lever not engaging the clutch pin... Not my bike or his keyless ignition (whew!)... Love his system! If you don't have it yet, I suggest you GET IT!!! Very solid.... haven't had any issues with it!

Now, Have a work around with the lever so I can ride!!! till I can mod the pin.
