Supercharged
Last Friday I made my trek to MN, which believe it or not, was the shortest trip I've had to make out of the last 3 bikes I've purchased. The seller, wildchild (Tom) was very accommodating and I enjoyed meeting him very much. Tom is good people and it's guys like him that's a big part of reason I love motorcycling so much. He also is apparently as OCD about maintaining and caring for his bikes as I am, which is evident with the condition of this bike. He had me when he laid a mirror on the floor under the bike to show me how clean it was, and clean it is. This bike still looks like new! I was a little nervous about loading her on the trailer, as I am with any new bike, but that went fine. No problems unloading her on the other end either.
This bike has the TORS exhaust, a cross-over pipe from Australia, and a ram air kit. The bike has also been professionally tuned to 144 hp, and 159 ft lbs rear wheel. I was very pleased that the TORS system is not loud. The Cobra exhaust I had on my 109 was borderline obnoxious, and I didn't want a system that loud on the Rocket. It has a nice, mellow, but still throaty sound without being too loud. I can not get over the torque of this thing! I've never felt torque like this on any motorcycle, or any vehicle for that matter! I have discovered that when rolling along in 1st gear at about 10-15 mph, a quick blip of the throttle lifts the front tire off the ground about 6 inches, and it does it so effortlessly...very impressive for an 800 lb bike! I can't wait to put the Corbin Dual Tour seat on this thing and get my wife on the back of it. I think it's going to make a great two up rider. Thanks Tom for making my new purchase such a pleasure and I hope we get to meet again some day!
