Hi, can any other brit captains tell me what there rocket does to the gal.
I've got K&N replacement air filter and cat box removed, and I'm getting 33mpg. Does this sound about right

If you want 50+ I recommend you join "Run For The Wall" this Spring in California. You'll spend a week doing 50 mph all off-throttle in a herd of Harley's. I was getting 52 MPG towing a trailer. :x On the trip home just me and 2 other riders my fuel economy went to crap. About 33 MPG. :D 8)

The important question is WHICH gallon are you referring to?

There's a .76 litre difference between US and Imperial gallons.

Keiff,

No, this is terrible. You must be taking it far too easy. Open the bloody throttle man!!

Only kiddin mate. You're doing very well to get that MPG. I'm lucky to see 26, but I have a supercharger. I was getting between 28 and 32 on a standard one with standard filter and CAT delete and ToRs. Depends on whether you're cruising on the Motorway or riding like a tw@ around the countryside.

I've never bothered working out the mpg, but I get between 120 and 170 miles to the tankful, depending on how playfully I ride it.

It's been so long I forget what a bone stock one should get..

I do know it will vary a lot based on quality of fuel, altitude, tire pressure etc etc etc..

I've gone 140 miles on a single tank and still wasnt dry on the highway.

one of these days I want to strap a gas can on and see how far she will go on a tank at reasonable American highway speeds ( 75-80mph)

last cross country ride I did, all the metric cruisers were on vapors at 140 mile stops we planned and I rarely needed more then a half a tank.

I get between 27 and 33 with standard filter, cat delete and ToRs.
I keep saying I'll ride slowly to see how much I can get per gallon, but then I start the engine and forget all about it.
Oh well there's always next time.
