Moving footpegs on a GT

this might be an obvious question but is it just the case of moving the 2 bolts in the picture i would like to see what it is like with the pegs out as far as they go, and if so does anyone know what the torque setting for the bolts are? i can't see anything about it in the manual

Yes, but you'll also need to add or remove a shift link spacer (dependent on which direction you move it). The spacers are under your left side cover. Otherwise, it's that simple.
This was great advice. I'm not mechanical but was easy to do. A little tricky with the TSA wire in the way but just had to be a little patient and careful. Neither of which are my strong suits.
 
I thought about this move too, but it is like 1/3 of an inch move... ??? Wonder if it is worth it, because, I think it might be not perceivable after all is done.
 
think its half to 3/4 inch, irrespective of value it is noticeable especially for shorter inseam legs.
I eventually fitted R mid mounted controls to my GT which transformed the ride completely.
