Motor removal

Guess I need to install that "trick" regulator kit I bought awhile ago, but which Rocket? One of the 05's or the 2013? I try to run them all equally. No LED's etc. All stock electrically.
Seems from what I've read, that changing over to LED lights, puts a strain on the stock charging setup.

I've not messed with a T but if it was like a 05 thru 09 I'd just lift the tail instead of pulling the complete motor. Just thinking out loud.

Please take pics as you go.

@DEcosse Is there any way of making more power while He's in there, say if he wanted to install a radio?

Not really - makes zero difference to the stator current; the regulator will shunt more current, however the OEM MOSFET type does not run very hot anyway so not going to make much practical difference
(With an old-school SCR Shunt type, it would certainly make it significantly hotter - but it doesn't have one of those )

With a series R/R (SH847) it makes situation better - lower current in both stator & R/R

Hey, fellow rocket scientists. Post some pics on the media (I hope) many more to come. (I hope)

It makes no sense that the lower current draw with LEDs would put more strain on the charging setup. If anything, it would be less.
