Believe what you want. I know how many miles I got. I ride hard on twisty eastern Ohio and West Va. roads and I got 19000 miles on my first Commander II.
I found it hard to believe myself until I tried one. Here's a pic of the one I took off.

So what's going on here, I went to the Mitchelin website, and do the search and it comes back with a "we can't find a match......" for the rocket III touring.
Oh I missed the fact that your using a non recommended tyre size, my bad. Can't say I have ever experimented non factory tyre sizes, so what does it do to the feel of the bike, any upside or down sides?
You might read around the tire threads here -- and there are a bunch so you could just start with the tire threads under the Touring forum. All kind of opinions -- take your pick.
