Ironically Metz cost more than Avon. Bridgestone is a little cheaper than than both and far superior. But you'll be paying $400 + whatever you use Downunder unless you do what a few of the Brissy boys did recently and import a batch.

I've never paid under $400. $425 for a Metz about 2 years ago was the most. $420 for a couple of Avons and a $408 for a couple of B/stones. Hopefully my next B/S will be a lot less, one way or another.

Guy's I am certain I caught a bit of bad News on the radio a few weeks ago..

The part I heard over the noise was that the Oz Gov't was going to make GST (Goods/Services Tax) compulsary on all international Online Purchases as from July 2013..

Anyone else know anything on the subject ??
Not sure about possible Import Duty tho'

Yeah it has been thrown about a bit over the last year or so but the funny part is it will still be cheaper for us to buy from overseas (USA) even with a 10%GST slug attached.
It is a shame the Govement doesn't reduce the Import Taxes so the local guys can come closer in line with our USA cousins, then it would be a win win situation we could buy locally and try and keep more Aussies in jobs.
I have always prefered to buy local (I check local prices before ordering from overseas) but when prices are near double to that we can get from abroad we still have to look after our own back pocket.
