Maggie valley June 2019

Not sure yet, the last few RAA events I have used my friends railermain reason being to have a support vehicle plus I always bring spare (used) pads plugs , air compressor, kitchen sink etc:D also some times I stop off at my pals in Atlanta as he usually has a plumbing job for me to do, you will be surprised how many show up and the poor old bike is not ready for mountain riding I have changed so many brake pads at RAA events I have lost count.
Did your wife ever get her licence???????

Thank you yes. The license center as you said could pull it up on their system....so the instructor told me a load of tosh!
Thanks for your help.
Re this trip ...I’m trying to persuade myself to go. I’ve never been on a road trip such as this and wondered if this was a good un to go to. I might take the bike in my trailer?

Nothing wrong with that. I wanted to but the old truck is getting tired. Looking for a 5.9 Cummins to putter around in. Although i only went on a couple rides last year i did by et to spend the better part of 5000 miles in the Appalachian mountains (southern that is) so strap the beast in and criuse up for some fun !!!!

I'm looking forward to the ride myself. Taken a few extra days off just to check things out. Nice stop over in Nashville to check out the night life. Then on to Asheviile for a tour of the local brewers plus overnight stay in the hotel that sponsors the tour. They got a bar there that serves all the local beer plus a fancy restaurant. Then Maggie Valley. Then off to the Outer Banks. Been Awhile like over 20 years since i have rode the coast line. Got a room in South Carolina at a place that is really sharp. Right on the coast line. High dollar joint. That should be entertaining. Then start to think about heading home. Ain't going to be in no hurry heading back to Oklahoma. Planned the trip out but made no plans on the trip back. Figure i"ll play that by ear and see what happens. Told did not ask work that I'll be leaving out in June for a ride and have no clue when I'll be back. Plant Supervisor asked me today "Are you going to be gone over 90 days?" Told him that is three months? He respond with You have more than that in vacation time have fun. Bike will be up for it. New cams and adjustment on head stock this round. Prior to departure new tire and brakes. Everything else is a go on the bike. Really looking forward to this run. Wife say's Make sure you call now and then. She say's go for it. Twenty years and never much of a break. She has been on a few cruises and a couple of trips. Love her to death but figure at dam% near 61 years old am good for one more ride. Figure on making the best of it. No trailer and truck just a 0sshole on a bike. The way it should be. ;);););););););)

My sons and I were in Asheville this fall and stayed downtown and could walk to a few of the breweries and partake...it is a fun place and awesome beers. Enjoy the ride.
