Maggie valley June 2019

I thought it seemed like I scraped more on the right side than the left, I just figured it must be my riding style, but I was looking over the bike today, the Carpenter pipe will scrape on a Touring. Flattened her out a little too, probably gained an 1/8" of clearance.

I "tapered" my heel shifter a bit on this trip.

My rear tire, a Bridgestone Exedra Max, gave me an uneasy feeling when near the edge. Turns out it was badly cupped close to the chicken strips. The tire is worn but not at the wear marks yet. I'll replace it with an Avon Cobra Chrome and see how that goes. I've had a few of the Exedras with no problem. It was actually good to see that and realise it was the tire and not me turning into a chicken :D

Thats from a old tip over up north bud. Don't worry about you riding it hard enough to do that , most of us have seen you ride and well tip over when your sitting still in :D

Ok, smartass, next time we're up there, we'll run it together and see, we're both Flatlanders, should be a fair run. I kept up with two 600 lb bikes, between the bike, the full saddlebags and the fat guy on top, I was pushing 1120-1130 lbs through those curves.

I’ll let Sandy lead you two guys through the route.;)

We did the Dragon and Chrohala with a section of 28 today and the roads were dry and the sky was clear.

It’s a 280 mile day ride from the house in a loop.
