Very true as they use only a fraction of the normal lights
Hans - NOT SO!.
The 8630 Speakers we have use less as (like the OEM halogen) they are either main OR dip. Each circuit drawing about 2.00 Amps @ 12V DC. So roughly 40% of what a halogen does.
The 8630 uses 3 led clusters on dip and 3 on main.
The Harley Daymaker and Truck-Lite run dip and "main & dip" - The Truck-lite certainly draws twice the amperage on main. 12.8v, 1.80a (low beam), 3.60 amps (high beam).
Given the additional emitters in the Daymakers - I'0ll take a wild guess at them drawing about 4amps on main. - A Halogen 60w drawing 4.7amps at 12.8V.
Marginal difference

it contains this paragraph from the mfr.
The installation of a relay is essential to obtain maximum operating efficiency
of all lighting. Relays protect existing switches and wiring to prevent voltage
drop that occurs due to inadequate current carrying capacity.
I would add that ime you should add a switch into the lighting circuit to disable the lights when the engine is not running.
This per recommendation from JWSpeakers representatives in the UK. I'd done it anyway. There are ways to make this process automatic if you're forgetful.
I run my Guzzi's Truck-light off a relay too.
DO NOT BE FOOLED - ime LEDS produce about 250% more VISIBLE light per amp - UN spec's delimit the lumens.
LEDs do NOT produce more lumens - they produce more visible lumens.
Note LED and Halogen share the same spec's
