Meh.......I've raced several in the last year alone. It's no contest Know where your power bands are so he doesn't get the jump on you. Then it's all over...

I took one for a test ride in 07 the smaller of the 2 displacements at the time it also had mid controls which I liked At first I didn't get it coming from a cruiser this bike had nothing below 4k rpm but when I found some open road and opened it up it really smoothed out and sailed. It's no Rocket but if they put the vrod motor in a competitent frame it could be a nice bike.

Me and him haven't ridden together in a decade. I don't care if his bike is faster. The smack talking has been fun
I love Smack but seriously he needs to learn he is on a turd!!!! I would be willing to help educate him. In fact I might be willing to give him a little head start on the quarter to make it interesting. Mind you I have not opened mine up all the way yet still getting used to trusting the Corbin Bags at high speed. I can say I just road home from church and twisted the wick a wee bit. It seems the bags hold up well as you shift to fourth gear at 148 mph. They seem stable to 165 mph so far. Can't wait to see how well they hold up in fifth gear :D

so many times when I finally get out on the open road I just open it up and stock she pulls strong to around 135 mph and never once did I ever think about going down the road at a normal speed to check for hazards til I read your post Warp9.9 and realized how freakin dangerous it is.

Ran up through the Snowy Mountains with a bloke on a V-Rod Muscle , he couldn't get around me (mate at the back on his Rocket reckoned the V-Rod nearly ran off the road a few times) but so did I trying to stay in front of him. He hated Rockets and was always bagging them .. I had no intention of letting him get around me no matter what.

Yes I have a couple roads I use to test on good pavement no traffic or at least sometimes. If there are vehicles I either shut her down or do not even pull the fuse. I also only do it when the road has good visibility even in the fields. If the corn is to tall to see the dirt its not the road to be playing on. Lord knows what could wonder out in your path.

He picked it up Thursday night and brought it by last night. I took it for about a 5 minute ride. Not bad, you have to wind it out but it gets up and go but without the torque of the rocket it is no where near as unsettling. I imagine they perform closley in speed. It sounds pretty good, the seat on the muscle is a bit odd shaped but overall its a cool bike.

Our **** talking has been cut off by some moron we went to school with. This guy has a screaming eagle 1800 softtail that he believes will run with either of our bikes and will not shut up about it on facebook. So I suppose that will happen at some point. He did tell me there's no way my bike makes torque like a harley big twin, I agreed. It makes way more.

Harley-Davidson Twin Cam (1800cc / 110” 45 degree single plug v-twin with F.I.) – 95hp & 110 ft lbs of torque - seems to be where Harleys max out. Obviously I have no proof that those numbers are remotely accurate, just something I spotted online, Harley doesn't like publishing insignificant information like whether or not their engines have power, apparently.

That's shy 50 hp compared to the Roadster and over 40 ft lbs of torque.

They can be built to make some pretty good numbers, but then it's a ticking time bomb.
