Issues with 2020 model?

Is that what that black rectangle thing is? I wondered what it was for. It's sealed in some sort of hard gel to protect the electronics in there. But, if it was another antenna you'd think they'd have mentioned it in the manual & not just the rear fender one?

I think I seen description in the shop manual, they use that front antenna for your fob.

The front antenna is used for long-range communication, so knowing its location isn't critical to a regular user. The rear antenna is for short-range communication, so you have to know where it is to get the key close enough. (For those without the saddlebag mounts, there's two pips under the tail that you can feel which indicate where to place the key).

They're the same part number, though, so I imagine the computer powers and/or operates them differently or at different times to avoid conflicting communication.
