Inexpensive Starter Replacement

The original post gives the wrong part number, and was never corrected. It isn't mentioned until the 3rd page. I also bought the wrong starter.

I first purchased a 17794 starter this is a brand new after market product not a Denso unit.it is cw which is no good, and the bolts do not line up,
the second unit i got was a 17610 which is ccw and bolted straight in .It is also a rebuilt after market unit. I think the dDenso unit is 280-0174.

The 17610 starter is starting well and seems strong, time will tell. I can always go back to the stock one if it fails but I have heard good things so far.

haha i feel your pain bro. i "liked" the initial post and also tdraggers correct part # post years ago, then last year when i actually bought a starter i just read the 1st post and bought the wrong one lol
