Im not so sure about that...we've had more than 2 metres (7 feet) of snow in the alps this winter.

I walk softly and carry a big stick!!!
Seriously They serve only as MC riding boots and I my hooning has ground off more sole than my walking over the past 100,000+ miles.
I have had then re-soled once and added instep zippers with elastic laces for ease of putting on.
