I can still hear the bell - motorcycles

I wouldn't take it personally. You'd need to be a vacuous douchebag doing gaudy over-acted reaction videos on TokTik not more than 10 seconds long to appeal to today's youth.
I'm confident he meant in the general sense. However, his point at least in my case is probably valid. It is within the framework on wanting to encourage younger riders that it discourages me personally because I'm not able to do this effectively.

I don't think it's the age... I think it's the message. When people hold you in some sort of high esteem, they'll pay attention to you. When you have some bit of status or knowledge they desire, they'll seek you out or listen. Simply put, they have to want to hear what you're saying. The coincidence lies in the fact that age groups generally have different interests.

I used to struggle to communicate my passion for all things cycles to anybody who would listen.... only to find out later in life that the people who want to listen will ask you if they're ready to hear it. Something about leading horses to water, I'm sure. Or maybe the old Murphyism "If you try to please everyone, no one will like you.".

The comment I received "once you hit 60+ you some revelance to younger 20 something riders no matter of experience and knowledge " in regard to YouTube channels. Now my viewers reflect that most viewers are older so in my case what he said was accurate.

My question was does that seem the factual across the board to other channels? I don't really don't do too many messages just rides and some racing everybody does irrespective of age. Now the delivery and entertainment of those videos are what I'm comfortable in doing and might not appeal to everyone.

The only status I have is that I am a average guy who is real and not fake or a pretender. I think there is a need to encourage younger riders some how because it looks that we have a real shortage of younger riders to carry on. Hopefully someone is out there is connecting and encouraging the young folks.

I've noticed that some YT channels have been posting a good while before they get hundreds/thousands of hits.
The algorithm might have something to do with it ???
Just got to be true to your own interests and values and keep doing what you enjoy, I reckon.
