How to Install Triple K&Ns Under BearClaw

Just in case ... the bulges in the claw do not correspond to the location of the RU-2780 filters, (found that out by mistake) I thought they lined up with the TB intakes and didn't bother to look until AFTER I cut them out.

How's that go? ... measure twice, cut once? lol

Got all my filters today but am waiting on the power comander v
and im a little impatiant and im considering puting the filters on anyway
i have the TORS on cat removed and aftermarket tune also GIpro ATRE and secondarys removed
would it be a problem if i put my filters on now while im waiting on PCV
i think i remember someone saying it may run a little lean?
will it cause any problems?

I wouldn't run it with the triple filters unless you load a custom tune or install a PCIII (or PCV). In the mean time you could use Tuneecu and load a custom tune. None of the Triumph tunes will cut it.

I would install all the fine things and load a new tune with the free tuneECU
On the mentioned Tom's Page you will find a wonderfull fitting tune. Which is a modfied version from the official Triumph Racing tune. this is a must - without the new tune the Rocket is running lean and will be frustrating in low rpm. After the new tune, the beast will run different than before - I am shure.

And after you've got the PC 5 you can add this and tell us the difference!

i found a tune on there that says rocket 111 aftermarketpipes TORS catboxremoved wich is my bike but it doesnt mention the tripple k&n filters does this matter is this the tune i should use ? think it was 20226

New Look

I finished the body work on the bear claw I received free from my dealer. (Came off of a wrecked Rocket and you could tell which side went down.) Some refrigerator epoxy paint and good to go. Next three 60 mm Emgo chrome pods at cost of 8 dollars each and wala, a new look. I am waiting on chrome piece of edging for the lip of the claw. I took the bike for a short spin and really couldn't detect any difference in performance from the under the tank K&N's. I'll see how she runs when the warm weather comes, if nothing else it's a look change you can bolt on in ten minutes or so.

Looks good. I'm not sure that it needs the chrome edging.
