Honda Will Kill All of Its Gas Motorcycles by 2040

Yep. Look into the EV lease programs.
Basically a scam.
Up front it looked like $3,800 for 2 years for 60k miles. But after you look into it its over 8k. Taxes lol.

Hmmm........A lot of strong feeling happening in this thread.
Time therefore for a short interlude where we do some consumer research.

Who in this forum is intending to make a purchase of a new motorcycle in 2040 and beyond?

I'll answer that question myself by saying that I will be too ancient to be concerned about buying a shiny new bike.
A 2039 model not even be on my shopping list. My age demographic is a stereotypical one for a motorcycle enthusiast i.e. mid to late 50's
Gen Z aren't interested in hairy chested motorcycles. So who would Honda be selling big capacity ICE bikes to by 2040 anyway?

....and don't say that you're buying up Elon's 'Going to live forever by going bionic' stocks.

The market always is set by the consumer even if the market tries crazy things. If EVs make legitimate economic sense then they will work out in the long run. It's not like there new! It's been over 20 years that hybrids and all EV modern tech cars have been around for the sake of this conversation. Typically major leaps in tech happen in the 1st 10 years.
When the car came about and replaced the horse it basically killed it within just 5 years. Same with trains, airplanes boats ships, phones, computers. You name it, it only takes a decade for the major new thing to take off. Like smart phones. If EVs were going to work out it would have already so it's safe to assume that for the sake of this conversation that the consumer has already had its say. The market may keep trying for a while to push this further but rear assured Honda or any other big name is not going to stand by such wild claims. It's called marketing.
Did Honda make some special contract it has to abide by for this all EV? No. All ot means is it's going to try.
Imo anything that rides harder and faster I'm all for. I mean come on y'all, we have rockets for a reason. It has nothing to do with gas, it has everything with looking unique and going stupid fast stupid quickly.
Yea the sound is a big deal to most but eh it's a pleasant side effect to the reason we all keep riding these massive torque monsters.

I’ll be 80 and not buying a new bike at that time. The buyers at that time are still wearing diapers today so let them have at it. I believe all this EV green crap is just that. If the Japanese and Chinese really want to go green for the planets sake they will have sacrifice a good portion of their populations. Excessive human population is the real problem.

Greedy greenies is the issue. They just hate the black stuff. Too bad they have to have it. It drives them mad. Oil and gas will be the primary fuel for the next 400 years according to well versed authorities. Don't buy the ostriches and emus. It's just a fad to relieve you of your money.

Think i'll just put this here, in case anyone forgets what kind of soul ICE has...... (spoiler alert: no mention of the word Honda)
