High Speed Wobble - 2008 Touring

I am riding a 2015 R3R Touring.

Anyone ever notice a bit of squirreliness when in a sweeping interstate type curve doing 90-110mph?

My commute puts me on an interstate where the speed tax collectors appear only interested in those heading the other way, so often I find myself taking advantage of the situation. However as soon as I get above 90mph on some of the sweeping interstate turns, the bike seems to be a tad bit wobbly. I have not noticed it on the straights, just when leaning the curves.

a good pair of shocks will fix that feeling

Yup, I think Triumph knew that, hence the low speed limiter

My stock 2014 R3T has bothered me with -- took both hands off the bar at 60 mph, and the wobble started immediately. And it hops going around ramps at anything over slow.

Any recommendations, or is that a

At 5 over posted speed limits I have not noticed any issues, especially not any hops. I wonder if that is something to come.

I really am not expecting the performance I get out of my sport bike, but I would think stability is a fair request. It is not like these curves are knee draggers at any speed.

So if shocks will bring stability back, then maybe that is the way to go. Unless of course there is some small print in the warranty and after market shocks,

Thanks for the input all!

Your looking for trouble if your running a tall windshield they are not designed for over 100 mph speeds if you want to run high speeds you need to set the bike up correctly and make it more streamlined with a better windscreen

Any and Everytime I have had any sort of wobble it's been the steering bearing, 100% of the time, but I'm on a Roadster, so no barn door in front of me to upset aero.

Changing shocks should effect no warranty work, aside from shock issues assuming you put on correct length shocks with correct spring rates.

Recommemdations I'd base on price range, under $1000 I would recommend Hagon Nitros, as they are sprung for you specifically. Over $1000 I'd recommend some form of Wilbers.

I have not had any problems with the rocket x at high speeds. No wobble at all. For every day riding 65 mph to 75 mph stiffer front springs would be nice along with some progressive shocks. Smooth it out a bit. (next Upgrade)

I agree with Claviger. Same experience with loose steering bearings. Corrected when tightened.

Just curious . . . can loose steering bearings be checked by a mere mortal with the service manual, or does it require a Rocket Scientist with special tools ?
