Hey TriumPhil, is the Brute something new, other than megaphone with the street rod or megaphone heads? I've stopped by their shop twice but couldn't really get anywhere. I've heard their exhaust and I don't want to run that as my daily ride. Same with open intakes. I understand that's max power and that's what they do, and that's fine for the track but I dont feel comfortable running on the street with open intakes. I'd like to have them tune it for me after intake and exhaust mods but not sure if I need them if that's all I do. Although engine work isn't out of the question, but not with the open set up.

You can get a baffle (Brock's made for the ZX-14 and mf'd by Hindle) and real nice end cap(s) for the Brute to give it a more "subdued" tone, but my sense is that Bob is so busy with his own customer base that he generally won't dyno tune a non-Carpenterized motor.

He is the best for a long distance around, though, so my recommendation would be to PM (private message via the "Conversation" function - just click on the envelope up top on the right) IMFASTTOO for a more accurate answer. Any exhaust that isn't a 3 into 1 and doesn't have a decent header design isn't going to provide great power gains which is not important if you're mostly looking for a different exhaust note and "improved" cosmetics, IMO.

Ok. Thanks. And yeah we definitely aren't in the best place or country for that matter when it comes to Rockets. As you said other than Bob I only know of dealers that work on Triumphs. You can't throw a stick without hitting a Harley dealer, and I already use an indy shop for my Harley over near Bobs shop.

Congrats from Canada on the new R3. I'm also new to an R3 and made a few mods at the dealership before bringing the beast home. i can't wait for the snow to melt and for Spring to arrive to have my first ride.

I really want to get a feel for the power stock, but the people on this site are making me think strange thoughts about air breather, and removing catalytic converters, and louder pipes, and maybe a car tire, and, and, and, and............OMG here I go again!!!
