Hey Everyone! Glad to be Part of the Rocket Community

Hello everyone. Bought a Rocket Roadster, this is my first non Harley bike that I've owned. Quite an eye opening experience when you first get on one of these things. Took it for a test ride and came back and said, 'I gotta have one of these!' And so it began. I've been cramming in all the knowledge I can and joined a few of the Rocket Facebook pages, many thanks to those whom have already helped me!! I've heard and seen that this is one of the best sources of information and knowledge for Rocket owner so I hope to become part of that and also tap into what I see is a wealth of knowledge.
Currently own a 2015 FLHXS and a Rocket X. Doing some intake and exhaust mods are at the head of the list now. Have the Harley where I want it but can't wait to tap into all the Rockets potential.
Update...already!! Just an FYI that may be helpful...I've also changed out the foot controls to the older style that are more forward, and installed a set of Rivco risers. And if you want to keep the original cable routing the clutch cable from a touring model works. The throttle cables are too long though.
Welcome" The rocket 3 is a real nice motorcycle that I believe needs to be treated and ridden sensibly, having said that I have a 2005 r3 and I love her and will be on the road soon when I do my few upgrades and oil change. "Good luck and be safe!

Welcome from the big city of Henryetta Oklahoma. Home to no 74. (what number on yours?) I look at it this way, if I ride the Harley then i'm one of thousands , if I ride the Rocket am one of five hundred. Since Oct of 2015 the Harley has become a pourch puppy.:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:

Hey sonny, I'm #118. Back East in Delaware. Never started out to get an 'X' model or even a Rocket for that matter. Sat on one at the dealers when I went to look at a T-bird but that's as far as I got. Just remember thinking....man this thing is big!!
Then someone at work sent me the link from eBay knowing I was looking for another bike. Although initially my other bike was supposed to be something 'small to throw around' instead of the Street Glide....I think I missed that whole 'small' bike thing though. Kinda went in the totally opposite direction ending up with a Rocket.

Welcome from Las Vegas! I remember when my wife "asked" me to test ride an R3 cause she liked the beauty and thought I would too... after my test ride her words were "Now if you don't like it, don't say so just for me..."; I could barely talk over my adrenaline pumping grin... I took her home that day (the wife too!) ;-)

Good Evening,

Were the foot controls a direct bolt on? Or did you have to do some modifications? I used to have a 2005 rocket 3, I just bought a 2014 rocket 3 roadster and I do want to move the controls forward as well.

Thanks in advance!
