Hey Everyone! Glad to be Part of the Rocket Community

Hey Rick...I'm in Delaware. I just got it back after a couple months. Had a leaking head casting so that needed to get replaced. Thankfully it was warranty work. I really need to figure out this Tune ecu thing. I'm figuring from what I can gather that's the way to go. Especially if I want to change intake and exhaust. But I'm lost when I start looking into it. Hoping to get some help from here.
You will get a lot of help here. Go to the Tune ECU threads in the forum area at the top left of this page. Its not as hard as you would think. I am not a computer guy but figured it out pretty easy. I have been riding carbureted non computer bikes most of my life. The guys on this forum are the best for Rocket upgrades and other related things. Buy the www.lonelec.co.uk cable for the tuneing. It only takes about a week to arrive and it works first time. I purchased one from Amazon and it did not work. I also have the K&N filters and removed the secondaries . My R3R is a beast.

Yeah that's me also. My current Harley was my first non carb bike too. Quite the learning curve. Don't give it a second thought in cars but it's a different animal on bikes.
And thanks for the cable link. I've heard (read) that you can get screwed if you buy a cheap one or certain ones just don't work. Ok now you know the extent of my tune ecu knowledge.

We come from Dartmoor England mate !

Hey thanks Nat67. I've "met" a lot of nice folks since getting the Rocket. Everyone's been helpful and it's cool seeing where everyone is from. And I haven't seen any of the attitudes that you can find on other forums. (At least until I post something stupid ) This is the first one that I've ever cared enough to actually join.

Same here mate , I never did fudge book or networking of any kind . I joined this forum to learn more about the bike coz no one else seemed to know and the English forums are full of dicks .
I'm glad I did coz I have made great mates from world's away and I'm sure you will too !
Guys on here are patient and passionate and don't generally revell in making others feel small , but rather share their wealth of knowledge freely ! :)

Yeah everything you just said is why I've avoided joining forums up until this point. If this forum is anything like the FB pages, which I'm sure there's a lot of the same folks on here because it comes up often, it should be good. I've read through this and many other and it sounds like you ran across the same stuff I've seen. All these years I've never joined any Harley related forums either, wanna guess why? Besides when you think about it, this, the Rocket, is a pretty small community so I'd like to think we all want to help each other out. Up until me buying mine I've never even seen one on the road. Or maybe I just never knew what I was looking at and I actually did. Stopped at the local watering hole yesterday and it attracts more attention than my Harley. It's funny to see people wondering what it is and they just can't get over the size of the engine. I'm sure we have all had those type of experiences.
