I had those alarms when I was missing some mounting bits on the ABS module to engine fixings. It took them almost a year to figure it out. I think they called them conical spacers or something like that. It finally got so bad it would go into limp home mode.

Well, thanks a lot. She's going back to the dealer come Monday.
I was under the impression that something could be off with the Quick-shift, that I had installed en de dealership.
Guess we'll know, at least.

The last maybe 6 months I’ve been getting the TC and ABS warning. It’s intermittent, coming on and off after a few rides. When I Took it to the dealership originally, where the warning disappeared before getting there, the failure wasn’t logged and I was charged for the privilege of them checking for stored codes. A few weeks ago I managed to get it there was the warnings were still present and they were able to download the logs. They advised they took off the tank and reseated the associated connectors. They ‘wiggled’ the cable from the front wheel sensor and the failures disappeared. Was about to go for a weekend ride this Saturday and the failures returned. Rode it to the dealership this morning, but again the failures were gone again. Hopefully the failure was logged and they will changes something. They did advise that when the TC and ABS warnings are on, these systems are not functioning.

Traction control and ABS are sensed by the mono-pole sensors facing the speed rings on the front and rear wheels. It's those slotted little rings that create a 'frequency' when the bike is in motion telling the ECU how fast each wheel is rotating. If the sensor is too far from the ring it can't 'read' the gaps properly, too close, same problem. Since your bike is under warranty they should correct it no charge.

This is the front wheel of my Thruxton R (before spoke replacement with SS and wave rotors), you can see the 'speed ring' mounted to the brake disk:

The AFTER repairs the ABS light came on and I had to add a spacer to the sensor:

Thanks. Very interesting to know how it works. Having an extended warranty im thinking that was definitely worth the money, and they advised that having the logs and observing the intermittent failure and recording, It’s covered for life as it occurred while under warranty.
