Today - I rushed out road testing the forks and forgot to put the plugs in.

Reminder to self : USE THEM - THEY WORK.

I'll send you a pair once I get all the parts and you can compare to the 'real' thing.

Ok @Rocket Scientist , I to have been dealing with hearing problems after long trips plus problems from the work environment over the years has made it worse. I always use a modular helmet as they for the most part come with a flip down sun visor. I like not having to change face shields to ride at night. anyway I have always known the modulars were more noisy but started wearing ear plugs anyway cheap ones nothing special. Anyway I acquired a Scorpion EXO 500 full face helmet cheap worn 4 times and the guy decided it was to small. Luckily 30 bucks it was the right size for me. anyway it does seem to amplify the exhaust note or because it does not give you the deafening wind noise you notice the exhaust more. It might be better on trips then the modular helmet luckily it has the flip down sun visor and a neat little cam lock to either lock the face shield down or it also act like a cam to crack the shield every so lightly to let more air is. no noise difference but man the air flow is amazing for such a small gap. Probably has something to do with the aerodynamic shape of the helmet more are not more noise and in a light rain no water. Anyway I am impressed with the noise reduction enough to take it on this RAA ride. Might definitely be looking to try one of the quiet ride models. when I get back.

In what can only be described as "a surprise" - I was given a brand new set of the Flare Isolate Mini in Titanium.
So did a head to head against the Aluminum set I bought. And - I was honestly surprised - there is a difference.

Overall not a HUGE difference - but some frequencies very much reduced in Ti. Wind roar and zorst notably. Though tbh I think intake roar was better stifled by the Ali ones.
Enough difference to justify 100% more cost? - maybe.

The thing that stands out though is that the foam parts are not as intrusive as most plugs as they're really short. Time to experiment with different shaped/sized rods.
