Personally I really like the matte black. I hear that they are more wind resistant than the "red" ones...

I'm a recent convert to the R3 and I've just added to pillion backrest for my dear darling - cheapest performance mod you can make on a Rocket. 2 up the bike now goes an average of 20kmh faster and accelerates a sh1t load quicker off the line

While riding 2 up, I'll not be rolling faster than the speed limit. That's precious cargo. Maybe when I'm 1 up I'll strap a couple bags of potatoes to the back rest to see if it will grab any better.

you might want to try one bag at a time ...just to see how high the front tire gets per bag
don't forget tho to much throttle you will have mashed potatoes.

Good idea, will save you some smacks in the head and maybe some punches in the ribs. Some of us don't train well, guess I'm not one of those trainable husbands. Scared the sheite out of my ol lady so bad, she got her own bike...
