Joesmoe,
My question is directly related to the rocket due to me asking about heated grips for this specific bike. I had been concerned about all the failures of the grips, and I am trying to learn what I can here.
Thanks, Eric
Like I said, to learn about this bike, you would do well to spend a couple of weeks investing in the many different topics -- heated grips having been amply covered here.
FYI - I have had the Moose Hands for years and have stopped using them.
They are very soft and once you have pulled a hand out while riding it is frequently VERY difficult to get your hand back inside.
The wind causes them to collapse and in traffic this can be a hazard.
Perhaps they are better designed now, I don't know . . .
I have all the Gerbing heated gear, bought them in 2001 and they're still going strong.I only used them October thru December. I ended up returning the pants the whole complete suit was putting me to sleep. Word to the wise try on the gloves before you buy them, if they don't fit right it interferes with clutch and brake lever action. I ended up returning my first pair for a set that gave me a little more play.

I bought my Gerbing heated gloves from the factory that was here in WA State.
They are wired mittens that Gerbing makes no more
and they have worked well for me since 2004.
Kinda poetic, no?
Joesmoe,
I have been lurking here for a while now, and reading a lot. I have just placed an order for a 2015 tourer. I won't be getting it for about two weeks. At that point, I had been planning on posting on the new member board to introduce myself.
I began posting on this forum a little sooner just so I could ask a few questions ahead of time.
I had hoped to make a few friends here too.
Thanks, Eric
