Headlight problem is back.

Naw **** that. The Rocket No 74 is history. Loved it and have some good times on her. But call it growing pains time to move on. May never find the ultimate bike. But plan on giving her to a good home and move on. Never bought a bike expecting a profit after four years of hard riding. To many issues and tired of it.

Sonny oh Sonny I enjoy all your posts this has been I think one of the best reads I've had on the forum on the 2 plus years if been on here.

Glad you found the issue and have it sorted out before you trade it on the Yamaha.

My only other two bikes i have owned where both viragos a 250 & an 1100 put about 30k miles on them only trouble I had with them was a dirty fuel filter and a gummed up carb when I brought it because of sitting for a few years.

Now the Rocket on the other hand since 2.5 years of ownership has cost me close to 10k but who's counting. That the up date kit, ramair, tires, screen, bags, tires, oil, riding gear, helmets, won't worry about fuel that's a evil Part of owning a beast of a bike.

And now my middle daughter wants to follow her oldest sister to a Catholic school at $2500 a year when the brand new school which only 1½ miles away is $200 a year lucky for me the youngest girl told the priest yesterday that she was not going to the Catholic school so that'll save me some money in about 4 years time.

We all make choices for one reason or another or in my case I have 4 females in my house and they make most of them but when I'm on the Rocket I get to make a few choices.

I can see that going away to rallies will be put on hold for a about 3 years or more apart from the Bert Munro Challenge next year I will be going.

But as for just jumping on the bike to for a hoon that's over as can't afford the maintance that I Know I need to be doing to keep safe on the road.

Enjoy your new ride and keep us all entertainend with stories of your new bike.

Cheers Chris

Really. It was the ignition KEY switch not the switch on the handle bars. By the way on a rocket roadster there is no relay under the ECM.

Thanks . The new ride should be interesting. Already looking at improvements. Intake and exhaust plus cams. Life is a adventure. When you quit and give up for something better your one foot in the grave. Not there yet:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

I got seven. One human and six female cats. Do have blackie my one and only male fixed tom cat. He ain't right. Kind of has more than one loose screw in the brain. Then there is by far my only friend IMG_0596 (1).JPG Tight.

To many issues and tired of it.
That there is all it takes.
:coffee:
One day - you wake up from a good night's sleep and think "It's time". Resistance is useless. The worm has turned and it's a one way ratchet.:banghead:

I have even thought that there would not be a bike in my life after the R3. Well it's hard to imagine what it could be - until you see it.

But I did not factor in ageing.

I have a mate over here with a much older model Royal Star Venture - He does really quite stunning mileage.
The only he says is it is a handful to paddle about on gravel and you will need a strong bike lift.

We also have a female dog and one of the 3 female guinea pigs left.

And last week it was an extra 3 12 year old Chinese girls staying for 7 nights.:eek:

I need more time on the Rocket.:(:(
