35 miles from Wytheville, I could see folks coming from the south and east perhaps staying there, closer to home when they leave.

I'm not driving this -- and will certainly bookmark the place for future reference. The prices look reasonable.

Perhaps some of the folks headed to Maggie Valley in June might want to try it ?

Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground

That looks like the perfect spot for an RAA meet up. The best part for me is the socialising in the evening after a great day of Rocket riding. I see a BBQ on a Virginia mountain with apple pie for dessert in my future. I need warmth and sunshine and riding. It is bright and sunny here but -16C with a storm warning in effect for the next two days with up to 12" of snow coming. Hopefully it is winters last gasp!

Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground

This looks perfect, something for any taste, the problem with national chain motels is no campfire at night, I would miss that. I will call and see what kind of group rate we can get.

Wytheville just looked centrally located for riding, I've been through all the motels there, found nothing like this where we could have a fire. No particular attractions I saw in Wytheville.

About twice the price for a room in Wytheville, too.

Wytheville has around 8200 people where as fancy gap had a little over 230 people in 2010. You might end up riding to Wytheville for supplies and a better choice of vittles
