Hard on wear items

Oh #ell no. Creek and Navajo women look hot at 20 to 30 years old. When they hit 45 to 50 the genes take over. really rough looking. Five foot beauty queen turns into a 5 foot by 5 foot block of pure *****. ;);););););););) I am going to get my ass kicked. She was reading this.:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

My wife gets hit on regularly at 40 :p 1/2 German, 1/2 El Salvadorian, she's aged well. I love it :p

I know! I know! The weather has turned nice over here and WHY ain't I out doing my testing and installing my Adaptives???  :D
Ah see - you do care!
I'm using the R3 to commute as my car is being put through the MoT test - Oh how nice it is to see in bends (some are really hairpins) in the night hours. Didn't allow me to miss the squished dead cat but at least I knew why the back stepped out.
Wearing vented Jacket today - about 12ºC this AM (and it was a wee bit chilly on the arms) but should be about 30ºC when I leave for home. Still fairly humid as the earth is still damp but vegetation is starting to turn straw coloured.

Thanks for sending.
Way less damage than I expected!
I see nothing to the helmet top that would be consistent with his injuries in the photo??? o_O

Yeah I expected further damage to the screen too. But I believe from post that his son had his eye socket fractured when the front shield flexed w/o shattering and impacted his eye socket under the helmet front edge.

The 'top of head' shot is simply as described, where they cut his scalp behind the hair line and peel the scalp forward so it is hanging off your face to give access to the brow/eye socket to remove bone shards, repair, flick back scalp flap and sew it back together.

That way you don't end up with any further facial scarring.

Edit Ahh, OP beat me to it!

On the R3? - Your inside right calf must be well roasted. You must do what you feel is right - so must I.

Like Sonny I pretty much always wear full gear. I've been riding for yonks in several countries and I've seen too much gravel rash to want more of my own. The worst thumps have been due to other road users and my worst injuries were minimized by having good gear on. Nothing prepares you for a sheet of heavy plywood flying of a truck and slamming you in the face. Leather Jacket had side buckles - they rolled under and took a huge lump of flesh out. The bike slammed onto my leg and dragged me. The boots saved my foot.

If only Kevlar was not so WARM (insulating). Recently acquired some Fully Kevlar Lined Hoodies with armour pads in which are great for going to the local village and back. Comfy (not too hot) off the bike and not too cool riding. But yet to find trousers that are as versatile. Kevlar lined trousers (for some reason) cause me to perspire - My Gentleman's Vegetables are steamed. That plus most are NOT 100% lined either. Ventilated leather pants - love them but not found any that are comfy OFF bike.

There is an interesting (enthusiast) video on the net that shows heavy wear right where almost no trousers have any Kevlar.

The vid is pretty misleading though and NOTHING at all like reality or the CE testing procedure! Who gets dragged around for minutes and kilometres unless you are a victim of some psycho. Most bike riders in a get-off even at speed slide to a stop within 100metres after hitting the ground not 2000!
