You will need to change the wiring to handle the additional reach. There are also some risers on Alibaba you can use to increase height and reduced reach.

I bought and installed these risers I found on Aliexpress.us and they're great! If you're looking for a little more pullback on your factory bars, these are for you. They come in silver or black and come with hardware and brake and clutch line extensions, but I used all the factory hardware...

I'm crafty. I just bought a GT in the first place...
I took your craft and brought it up to the next level, by purchasing an R that came with all of the GT parts thrown in, for no extra cost.
In fact I think it should have been advertised as a GTR

It would, but I believe the seats are different with the R seat being about an inch higher.
