Three ways to shave a ton of weight off the bike

1--Stock exhaust throw it away and install a carpenter sidewinder and you will shave off 40lbs
2- Stock wheels throw them away and install carbon fiber wheels you will save a lot
3-Stop pigging out on fish and chips and do some excercise

I like the first 2 but I’m struggling with number 3 Lol!

I think you have to except its just a very heavy bike, I’d imagine the engine is a large percentage of the weight? As above unless you have money to burn on carbon fibre wheels I can’t see many other ways of reducing the weight by a huge amount.

Yep I was just thinking most of the guys I meet that want more power only need to staple their mouth shut for a while!!!!!

Getting it 720ish wet, isn't super hard, where mine is, make no mistake, Triumphs claim of 809 wet for the roadster is a bit optimistic.

CF wheels, chopped rear subframe, aluminum bars, LiPO4 Battery, billet triples, rear sets with peg bar delete, ABS delete, custom wiring harness, all things that'll shave weight but I've not, nor am I doing for a variety of reasons. All done, one could probably get it around 670lb wet.

I’ve decided to put my 2016 Roadster on a diet. Suggestions where I can save weight please? Exhausts obviously. Titanium 3 into 1 with road legal baffle? But where else?

Agreed, the first two would be the biggest bang for the buck in my opinion. Those stock mufflers/ silencers are HEAVY!! When I pulled mine off I was shocked how heavy those were, like a car/ truck muffler.

I'm sure you can keep shaving off ounces and pounds here and there, but it's going to get expensive swapping out billet and carbon fiber parts. I'd rather ride it than worry about trimming the fat.

I'm sure you can totally go off the rails and strip to barebones if you want - no bags, no fender mud gaurds, no fork guards, lose the side covers, lose the remaining airbox guts, relocate all the electronics, lose the sidecovers, solo seat, etc. etc. and hell while your at it, get someone to fab up an aluminum or fiberglass tank. That's a lot of work and $$$.

The headlights are real heavy, put smaller plastic LED ones on. Lithium battery. Take all the crap off the radiator and paint it black. We got one down to 286kgs with half a tank of fuel. Air box and assoc crap,coolant bottle, air box. Carbon guards. Seat, just look at the bike. As above, carbon wheels and assoc tyres will save over 13kg alone.Blinkers, footrest brackets. Ten years ago we did a customers at 286kgs and 232hp. It was good to ride. The guy used to ride it on the rear wheel everywhere......
