Garmin Gauges ecoroute

OBD2 plugin

Tsmith, is the ODB2 plugin under the seat? where exactly is it?
I have a R3T and I hope the location of where to plug in the Garmin HD diagnostics plug is the same as yours.

The OBD2 connector is under the seat, left side of the battery. There is small group of wires that goes to a black boot and the connector faces down so it's easy to miss. Just pull the connector up and around the negative cable. If you have any more problems let me know and I'll take a few pic's.

garmin gauges

hi guys just saw the thread about garmin gauges. I was checking prices and came across some clips on u-tube. they are called obd dignostic interface units they plug into the sameplace on your bike. But you can use your mobile phone instead of buying a sat nav. plus it costs a fraction of the cost of an eco route lead.hope this help. HIBEE.

has anyone been using free Garmin Mechanic app for android, needed to know if app works only with ecoroute or any obd2 Bluetooth transmitter.

All the parts I listed on my 2nd post is all you need. The GPS must be Garmin and have bluetooth capability. The box that hooks to the GPS is also Garmin and sold separately and is called Ecoroute. They have both parts on the garmin website and show witch gps systems will work. The Nuvi 1690 is the cheapest that also has the smart routing to plan custom driving routes. The gauges are customizable to show speed, tach, battery voltage, intake air temp, intake man pressure, coolant temp, timing advance, engine load,... I think Im missing some also, can only show 5 gauges at a time. Also has another screen that shows fuel economy.

**** to bad it does not have TPS, AFR, and rpm data logging that would be all you need to tune the beast in with. Looks good since it does nott work with the Zumo I will have to go back to looking at a fancy phone and the Innovate OT-2 to monitor the goodies.
