future of Rockets

You know, you might get a 5 year warranty with a Victory, but you also get a Victory.

If you guys hate your Rockets so much just get rid of them, get what you want and be happy. A Rocket is what it is and I'm bloody glad about that. If I wanted something else, that's what I'd have got. It's not like you were tricked into buying it. I'm with Dave. I'm keeping mine and I'm as happy as.....

I am not talking about the Rocket over all ..I am talking about the tour and triumphs need to make it a real tour and I know you understand what am I talking about...and I don't hate my bike... I am just hope that triumph is seeing what other are doing in the full dresser tour market and will do that to the Rocket and also fix the trouble with detent spring and lifter shaft..as for the trouble with shaft drive I can deal with that.. and no my bike has not giving me any trouble ..and i hope it does not..

but when I line the R3T up against the victory cross country tour.. I will be honest the vic wins ...and once again I don't hate my bike I just wish Triumph would step up..

we've been talking about a sixth gear for years now.
Better deluxe touring package an all,
and still nothing from Triumph except the R3T,
which isn't the answer we wanted.
Anyway, I just bolted my new exhaust system on,
my headlight bracket gets finished out next week,
and I'm a happy camper.
Custom Intake and custom crash bars is all that's left.
She runs good, sounds good, WILL look good shortly...
I got no complaints, LIFE, my friends, is good.

That is all true Canberra. I am on both sides of this fence. Bikes are like women to me and I will catch hell for this but...................I love em, can't stay away from em but after a while the little things start to gnaw at me and before I know it I have spent a bunch of money in a divorce. I need new furniture, we need to remodel the kitchen, ignition switch failure, cam tensioner rattle, drive shaft needs remodeling. The Rocket is like a pole dancer. I know what she is, who she is, and why she does what she does and I still go back for more. Hard to divorce a stripper :D. Strippers used to cost me a lot too.:) I guess if you're going to play you're going to pay no matter what the hobby, " I'm mean as gravel and poor as dirt........I just spend too much money to have a little fun". For $16,000 we should at least get a lap dance from Triumph don't ya think? They won't even come out of the dressing room ;).

I am so confused  But Skip is correct, Life is good, I have great friends, and a mountain retreat so if I have to retire and turn the Rocket into a bong so be it :D

And the new BMW beats the Vic and Goldwing riders will say they beat both and on and on.............

I'm with Canberra, my R3T does what I want it to, I have never had a bike since the age of 17 that I have not 'tweaked' to suit. If the R3, in your opinion, is so outgunned by a much newer bike then you are on the wrong bike.

Triumph does not have the backing of the Polaris group and in my opinion will never invest, what for them would be, huge amounts of money into further developing what is ultimately a niche product that sells in comparatively small numbers.

Don't think its the "guns" in question, its the appointments, fitment, and attention to the riders overall experience. As long as a bike is running, they are good. Sitting in the shop they suck.

did they just not make the new triumph 2013 trophy se loaded????? yes they did....so yes they can do it... and over here that niche product you talk about is big.. go to some poker runs or rally's here there are a ton of them and I may be on that victory some time next year.. but I am really hopping that Triumph will come out with one of there own or word that are very soon ..
