Front Tire Choices

I think i have both here i will take a look.

as i remember the avon was about 1 inch taller that mich 5 so the bike would be lowered about 1/2 inch in the front.

Go with the 70 aspect ratio!
Lowers axle 1/2 inch and greatly improves handling by reducing trail.
Use 55 aspect ratio ExedraMax on the rear to raise axle 1/2 inch to compliment best handling ever!

Cupping is not a tire problem, its poor suspension setup and or tire pressures that leads to cupping. Tire will not scallop if bike setup is correctly.

Considering this has been an ongoing issue with these tires going back to the late 90's that I know of I doubt that everyone that has posted about this on various forums since then is experiencing this due to lack of proper adjustment/maintenance. But at the same time it's also hard to believe that Metzeler would not have addressed and remedied this by now.

Been riding mostly consistently/full time for 30+ years thank you, I may have heard of this kind of thing in passing but never paid attention to it or remember.
Anyway that solves my dilemma and I will look into ordering the rear Road 6 for my front.

So after all this I've decided to at least give the Cruisetec a chance. I have not used Metzeler tires since the 90s and my dealer has a front waiting for me when I show up for my appointment in a month. I'll be buying a Big Blue Lift end of year so I can just take the wheel and tire to my local shop the way I used to do it.

I have the Big Blue Lift and the Rabaconda tire changer, I think I’m all set.

I assume the rear is then something other than Cruisetec?
If so, I would not recommend mixing tire compounds front and rear as it could lead to traction/handling and performance issues.

Exedra Max on the rear and as long as they are both radials it will be just fine.
