Free unrestricted maps for Rocket R GT and TFC now online

I've noticed this more and more with our rockets. Even TomTom from tuneecu updated the walk through to include reset adoptions yet many here have had no issues by NOT resetting adaptions. Even penner states no reset...
Yeah but when the bike has the check engine light on unfortunately you have to do it. Like I mentioned something has possibly changed in TuneECU as I definitely didn’t do any resets after the flash.

I think you're right. Those that did it a few months ago with no reset had no check engine light and they just did the 15 minute idle or just rode it. I'm seeing lots on the tuneecu FB page get the crankshaft sensor issue

The only other thing I think might cause it is after you load the tune you are supposed to power cycle the bike and then without touching the throttle your crank the bike and hold the start button until it starts. One thing that I did was let the start button go as it was cranking for an inordinately long time compared to normal and I though something was wrong. Then I got the error. Maybe that first start is crucial?

I'll discuss this with you before I do mine. What you state makes sense. Maybe its the final steps after rewriting when errors are made

1. power cycle thing without touching the throttle - did that
2. cranking until it starts - hmmm cant remember if I had more than one go at this, but I do recall it took a while to start. From your video which if found, i thought your error was a result of doing the reset after the flash? If this could be the issue, then public service notice should be given as it would be helpful for everyone to know.

I have now added the TFC and R model
Just scroll to the bottom of the page

The European models will come soon

Cheers
I downloaded the custom full power tune from TuneECU map for my Rocket 3GT this morning. Promptly took it for a 30 mile ride. Very noticeable increased acceleration curve. The bike certainly came alive. Very pleased. First attempt at modifying the ecu mapping.

I at the time assumed that as the service manual states it reset the crank angle sensor, but with people getting the error without resetting adaptions, I am thinking improper restart may also throw the error. *shrugs*

Can I flash my rocket 3R ( made from Thailand ) with VIN ID BC1585 with this tuning?

Thank you Penner
If your bike was made for the Thai market, there is no Penner tune for you. However, you can take the stock map for the Thai market (31257) for your Rocket R and copy Penner’s tables from one of the other R maps into it.
