Engine Guard

I just put on a quality 50mm engine guard on my Roadster.
High quality chrome steel with a spoiler. Very massiv, bit pricey but worth every cent.
Wouldn't like to miss it anymore.

P/Coat

My coat has been on for about 6-7 weeks now (approx. 1500mi's), haven't been riding as much as I'd like due to weather and having two other bikes that need attention, but, so far, absolutely no issue with flaking or pitting, and I have been on some fairly crappy roads here in upstate NY. Lots of farm roads with the usual rocks, dirt, etc. left by tractors coming in and out of the fields. And a number of these rides were with other bikes kicking up the debris and flinging it around. It seems to be holding up well. I did make sure that I had the bike on a maintenance stand when it came to mounting the pegs, got myself where I felt they where the most comfortable with the bike in riding position, made my measurements with a friend helping, and clamped the pegs down one time to preclude having to move them on the tubes. So far, so good for riding position. Good Luck with yours!
 
wasn't there an issue about the bikes pulling to one side or the other if the bolt wasn't torqued right or was that some other one?
 
The old Rivco's were better than the old OEM guards, but the new OEM guards are better still.

Triumph apparently got the message.

Got my hwy bars, adjustable peg mounts and pegs installed. Love the powder coating. Gonna wait till the corbin stuff shows up before I post pics of it all. Doing the bottoms of the pegs and leaving the tops chrome really comes out nice. (for the triumph brand hwy pegs.)

Ran into some fitment issues with the adjustable peg mounts (also triumph). I thought they would be a tighter fit with the powder coat. Well maybe, but the one on the left side wouldn't tighten enough to stop from moving with a little force (put your foot on it more than very lightly). So I had to improvise. Got some hose clamps from the auto store and cut the screws off that adjust them, then used them as shims between the hwy bars and the mounts. That seems to work ok. I would do all the fiddling with placement before you do that though, because I expect it's not going to be good for the powder coat moving them around and repositioning them. Once you get them right use some tape to mark the spot then use the shims and crank them down.
