Electrical Gremlin Strikes Again

I will attempt to wire across the relay this evening. If I wire across that, should the bike start normally? I do have a alarm system bypass plug that I've been a little suspicious of, it is dirty but I've done some continuity testing on it and it seems to be okay. I will double check this evening.

because we do not know where the problem lies we do not know for sure if that will work the whole system
but i think with the ing on kill switch on and crossed over management relay i think that it should have most everything. at least enough to finish trouble shooting it.

if it turns out that the alarm/plug is bad even with the engine management relay crossed u will not have fuel pump or starter button operation.

I bypass the relay, and still have nothing working. I noticed that the relay was warm before I started messing with it. With the ignition off, the relay still has some voltage going through the coils, causing it to be warm. It doesn't seem to immediately click when I put it in the holder though oh, do you think this is normal?

Engine management relay seems to be the only one it has yellow and silver going to it, so yes I'm thinking I've got the right one.

I removed the relay, and put a piece of wire with two paddle inserts crimped on to either end into the slots that the relay triggers. This should have bypassed the relay, but it didn't solve the problem.

I checked for voltage across the coil side and the triggered side of the relay holder, and found voltage on both even when the ignition was off.

When I say that the relay didn't click when I put it back in the holder, I mean that after I found voltage on the coil side of the relay I was expecting it the relay to click when I put it back in the holder. It didn't click, so I assume that .22v is too little to trigger the relay, but plenty enough to make me worry.

it would take at least 10 volts and a ground to trigger the relay.
when u put the wire with the two terminals in the slots did u check for 12+volts on one of them?

Yes, they have 12.2v

where the alarm/plug hooks up what r u using alarm or plug
if u r using plug can u measure volts
