Early 2013 vs late 2013 Roadster

The unrestricted tune is exactly the same as the restricted one except for the secondaries table in the unrestricted one. Does anyone have any proof that the newer 2013 have tamper proof ecu's? The tuneecu site has warnings for some models but not the Rocket.

I was told by Triumph w/s manager and backed up by another dealerships manager it was only supposed to be tamper proof for the Street & Speed Triples. Usually quite reliable guys

That's great news for the new buyers :D

That there striped Beast is sharp. Need to find a striper for our matte black '11. Not as interested in the tuning for extra power. The thing will get away from us as it is.

We trudge on (impressed).

2013 Pre-Stripe Restriction Removed

I just had my 2013 (pre-stipes) in the shop for its initial service. I had contacted the dealer in May right after I purchased it about removing the restriction. He contacted Triumph US. They had told him the restriction had already been removed. When the bike was brought in, they did check it and had indeed already been removed before delivery. Assumption here is that should be true for all others that purchased after January. Hope this helps, Jon

I was under the impression that the 2013 had the ignition tables fixed in gears 1-3 as well as the secondaries open. Was that not correct? The Triumph Off Road tune has the secondaries open, but (to my knowledge) does not have the fully "fixed" tune.

I have an early 2013 (no stripes, came with more chrome bits) and from what I understand only the later ones with the black radiator and bearclaw have the torque fixed in the lower gears. I haven't had that 100% confirmed though so it is likely that Lite's info is better than mine.

According to the TuneECU site, there are two stock roadster tunes: 1) up to vin # 574812 (20355) and 2) after vin # 574812 (20688). The only difference is in the secondaries table, which are mostly 100% in the newer bikes. The ignition tables are the same. Check your VIN number or get TuneECU hooked up and read the tune that's in there.

Did you get a tune from Neville Lush for the Reband's because if you did it would probably have it all unrestricted

Well when I asked for some quotes from different dealers from the mainland states here in Aus, I got a very good price which was 21.5 k (which all the other dealers couldn't match) with all the bit and pieces I wanted on and i was told it was the new latest 2013 model, and when I went to put a deposit on it I asked for a picture and I am glad I did as it was the early one with all the chrome and I told him what colour I wanted the matt black with white stripes and he told me that it would be, then when the pics came through it was not the right one, so I got on the phone and it ended up being a demo model as well with a couple of hundred kms on it, he said that they were the same just that it didn't have the stripe and the blacked out bits. I can tell you that if I had flown over and and went to pick it up without me knowing I can tell you the sh#t would have hit the fan.
The new ones also get updated gear shift forks and something else changed in the gearbox apparently, but when my local dealer enquired about them he was told that only the ones with the stripes came out from the factory with all the new settings and gearbox bits they are the m13 model and the others are still the my10 models
Cheers Peter

Is the tune I got from you unrestricted, as far as the timing goes?

I saw the secondaries are disabled, but mine are removed anyhow.
