Driveshaft Spline Lube

Loctite 1048 seems to be doing the job. Had the rim off and checked lubrication on splines, it was well coated after 8,000 miles since last tire. The Loctite was tough to clean off but after cleaning did not see any sign of wear and tear on the splines at all. Found it interesting to discover O ring seal on rim, luckily we had ordered a new one.;););););)

Yeah i did see that one on there mate such a small tub though, im still waiting for my loctite grease to turn up

It is a tiny tub but 2 tubs will be enough and I have 16000Ks on my rear Avon cobra with I estimate 2000 Ks left before a new tyre and regrease $33.00 every two years for good grease is not to bad, so far I have used the Dana Spicer spline grease but this should do a better long term job

Wouldn't you know it. I followed a link here for some of the Molly 60 ,found it listed so ordered 2 tubes and today received M-77, #hit. Is the loctite the only other option now? How much do you need. Is that 8oz tub from Zoxoro enough to last a while and what is the application process?

8 oz of Moly 60 would last longer than the bike :D the tube of the original Honda Moly 60 comes in 3 oz tubes & lasts forever.
Per the directions it says for gears, apply thinly using a brush or putty knife, as to form a film. I just used a thin latex disposable glove & wiped on with my fingers.

I purchased a tube of M-77 from my local Honda dealer. It isn't anything like Molly 60. Don't use M-77 on your splines.

Mine finally turned up on Friday , close to 4 months since since it was ordered......got it on the spline yesterday while undertakng many other maintence tasks
I have also been waiting for that grease for over a month or so and have now cancelled my order. Does anyone know of a reliable supplier for the Loctite paste?
