Do I need to install the Quick-Shifter on my R3GT?

I didn't get it when I bought it new but I see some on here use it. I see other models like the Triumph Triple has it.

I like to launch it from start, I like to accelerate in traffic. Ok, I ride it like its stolen (when the wife's not looking)!

Do you recommend it and if so, why??

Any drawbacks, things I ought to know before getting it installed? More info the better...

Thanks,

My vote is 100% yes. There is nothing much more fun than absolutely pegging the throttle and never backing off until you run out of highway or courage, lol. Additionally if you are lazy, like me, you can use it around town to go up and down the gears without messing with the clutch. Also in the tight twisties you only have to upshift or downshift without messing with the clutch on hard cornering. And if you want to use the clutch its still there. I cant imagine there is a down side other than the cost and I would buy one again at twice the price.

I understand that you're excited to ride your 2500cc bike, but I am concerned about your safety and the safety of others on the road after reading what you said above.

Would you mind sharing with me your level of driving experience in general, as well as with this powerful bike specifically?

He's a first timer...just thought it would be fun so he bought a Rocket....having a blast now it seems ..lol

Do it, best investment ever. My last three bikes had it and now that its up and down shift, even better. I also had surgery on my left forearm muscle back in 2018 so having the QS is a helpful item. I haven't had all day riding arm pump in years. I now base my bike purchases on is this option available?
