Didnt pass any other bikes today...

if I get cold while riding I just go faster maybe that's why my insurance company told me to find another company?

I took an ~200 mile ride this Sunday. Sunny day, just need to dress for temps in the mid 40's to low 50's.

This was a ride with some guys I met at a coffee shop on Saturday. I let the patched members (1 pc) ride together and I rode as tailgunner. Lucky me, the rider right in front of me was riding a Honda Rebel which must have been a 650 or so in size. He was running straight pipes and It was like I was following an old lawnmower all day.

I think the day I started this thread was an anomaly. Mostly just wanted to see how it would go. I had to charge my battery the day before and all day while I was at work. Kind of a pain in the ass. I might do it again with a different bike though. It was sunny and 10F one day last week and I just thought "nah, I'm driving".
As most of you know these big engines dont turn over easily in the cold, and my battery sucks, despite making a second negative lead and not being that old. That said, normally my cutoff for wet days is around 40 degrees F. Everyone has their tolerance level for cold.
Hope to see some of you at the next RAA thats within a day or 2 from Maryland. Cheers mates!
