Well, mine started doing this yesterday as well. What's odd is that the headlights switch properly from bright to dim and back, it's just the indicator stays on all the time.

I can't follow what Pablo is saying he did, nor can I find the ebay kit he is referring to.... can anyone clarify?

Mine is similar... the high beams and low beams work fine. It's just the indicator light on the "dash" that goes crazy.

The connector with almost no wires is cut from the kit, the other is what I cut from the looms, you can see where it is supposed t be plug and play, but no space, so that's why I cut and spliced. The new connector for headlight can be opened and the wires removed so you can feed them through the grommets and fit into bowls, refit afterwards. Do one at a time so you have reference in case you forgot where o refit the wires into the connector block.

I just searched the number I posted on eBay it is still listed. This is the detail.

Easy Start Headlight Control Module for Triumph Rocket 3 & Other Triumph "Always On" Twin Headlight Models. (Sprint Speed Triple Street Triple Trophy Etc.)

Simply plug-in control module into existing headlight wiring. When ignition is in “on” position only the "Park/position light will be turned on while headlight stays off; this will allow more battery power to start the bike.

Once engine’s been started, simply flip high-low beam switch to turn on bike’s headlight and headlight will stay on until ignition is turned off again.

This product originally was designed for riders to have the option of turning off "Always On" headlights when starting the bike.

It is particularly useful when trying to start the bike in cold conditions, when the battery does not have much cold cranking power left; it would also allow people to run ECU or ignition test on the bike without having to hook-up to a larger battery because headlight is turned off.

This product is very useful for all model years of Bonnevilles as long as it uses single H4 headlamp.

So in short, this product is quite simple and easy to use, it offers customer option to ~

    • Turn off headlight when cruising in parades or slow moving traffic,
    • No need to disconnect the battery charger every time you want to ride, As more power is retained in the battery.
    • Save time and money from waiting around for roadside recovery,
    • Battery will last longer because now you can start the bike with headlight turned off
    • Protect HID headlight system, if equipped, from repeated power surge damage during ignition procedure
    • OE plug design, no wire cutting/splicing, ensure excellent reliability
    • Built with automotive grade wiring with exceptional heat and cold resistance, to ensure long-term dependability
  • Prevents battery over drain during engine warm up

Thanks Pablo....I think I understand what you're doing now. Searching that number on ebay.co.uk, as well as ebay.Com doesn't return anything for me.... must be because I'm in the us I guess. I can't even find it searching by the description.

So it's a latching relay that keeps the lights off until you flip the high- low switch?

I'm having the same issue with the High Beam indicator turning on and/or staying on.
Anyone fixed that specific problem and how?
I doubt it's relay issue as the high beams are not on, just the indicator. Too bad I don't have the schematics of inside the speedo assembly.
