Couple of possible issues

I find the hydraulic bike lifts to be unstable for the R3. The cantilever type works great.

How do the cantilever ones work ?

With a 450kg capacity it would be right at the limit if you have bags and screens and a full tank of petrol.

Dunno, Ian... my bike is 333 kgs plus blower 15? plus petrol 20? plus - if you want - bags 15? total 383.... got a fair margin up my sleeve...

Has worked well for several years so far.

That's a different model, as mine is rated for 1500 lbs. or 680kg.

Dan I have one like Freds and the hande can easily be removed while you are working on the bike, I bought mine from Repco for $150.00 when they had it on special go and see your local Repco dealer as they are much cheaper than some others and it is called an "ATV Lifter", it will lift approx 500mm of the ground sercurly. I also like Fred have an adapter I made for mine but I use the frame lugs under the motor and use Pins with clips to hold it on very safely, PM your e-mail and I will send pictures with instructions if you like, here is one picture
