Corbin Fleetliner Saddlebags

Have any of you bought/installed these ( They look sharp but I’m not sure that they are $3k sharp. Appreciate any opinions.

The Corbin bags are the best looking although, not the most practical. They have been known to shrink at the lid seams, however, Mike Corbin does stand behind this product and has replaced a set for my brother.
IMHO, the best bang for the buck is the Tusk alumimum bags mounted with Easy Brackets. Two sizes, L & XL both fit. I prefer the L ahnd have them on both of my R3Rs.

The Corbin bags are good stuff. Mine have been on my bike for 18 years with no problems at all. Of course 18 years ago they only cost $1275 after my discount from the Reno Triumph dealer.

I'd like to get them but I already ordered their fairing made out of gold, maybe the next year the bags, if the year will be financially nice to me.

I already paid more for the fairing than my first new scooter.. The bags are just out of this world expensive. To tell the truth, even if I had the 100% cash available, I don't know if I'd be able to justify the expense. I mean, you can almost buy another new bike.. So, it is like new bags or almost new KTM Duke 390.. ?

Still waiting to see if my Rocket 3 riding will REALLY 100% for sure will need the bags and only Corbin will be the choice.

Agree 100%. I already have a bagger (Indian Chieftain) and I’m starting to think that I don’t need another

I need to carry quite a bit of stuff, due to the insistence of my wife to be prepared.. and for creature comforts. So, I really needed bags. The bike came with the Triumph panier bags. I did not like the look, or the capacity. I wasn't very fond of the stock rear "fender" either.
So, bit the bullet and bought the Corbin bags, which included the required tail tidy.
They sure carry a lot of stuff! You can fit a full face helmet in the right side. The right bag is larger than the left because of the drive shaft. The right one also gets a lot warmer inside because of the exhaust.
Mine have hair line cracks in the finish. No idea why.. stress fractures? Not very noticeable. Had them for over 3 years now.

Other than cost, my biggest problem with Corbin bags on all bikes (looked at a set for my Hayabusa years ago), is that they are VERY wide. To be stylish, they're wider than they would need to be for the give capacity. I lane split a LOT here in California. Not the best bike to begin with for lane splitting, but with the Corbin bags, near impossible. Wider than a full dresser Harley. Also, as preposterous as it may sound, with three bikes side by side in the garage, I don't think the Corbins would allow the Rocket to have the space to get up off the stand and back out.

Other than that, I applaud Corbin for making something that always looks like it belongs on the bike. Their included tail tidy is the only solution I've seen that doesn't look wonky.

It was the Corbin bags, but the bag didn't come off, the door/lid came open... probably from being jounced a few times over some cattle guards faster than I should have... and/or not being completely latched. There are 2 latches (front and back). Maybe one did not seat correctly. That was the only time, but I now I check to make sure the doors are completely closed.
