Confusion about Rivco risers on a 2013 Roadster

I built the bracket that is in the post I referred to above. It took quite a bit of time for me to build just one so I took the drawing to a friend of mine who does these things for a living and ask him what it would cost to make ten of them. If its reasonable I will let all of you know and see if anyone wants to get one.

Great minds think alike but I made mine from original bracket(before finding out about the early model hinged top handlebar clamp) what I did was to simply get a narrow (ID 6mm to suit a 6mm bolt fitted with nylock nut) steel tube long enough to go across the original bracket on the tank, I cut the tube in to 3 lengths (two outer pieces a quarter of full length so the centre is longer) and with the bolt inside to make sure they stayed aligned tack welded the outer pieces of tube on one side only and the centre piece on the other side, then using a Dremil tool cut the bracket behind the tube effectively creating a hinge I then finished welding the tubes to their respective pieces fitted the nut and painted the weld areas with coldgal paint

You did it the way I was going to at first but I decided to make an entirely new one because I thought if I destroyed the original one and had to get another one it could take a long time to get it. Think about this if you could get a gate hasp with hinge in it and make sure it is wide enough to make it fit the holes you would need to drill in it I think you might make that work. I did send my drawing to the guy who builds this kind of stuff and he is getting a price from a guy who can cut them out with a plasma cutter. If he can get that done that is about 90 percent of the work and maybe it will be cheap enough that it would be worth buying one. I will let everyone know when he gives me the price.

Good Day everybody. I am from South Africa and apart from riding I love sport like rugby and cricket....(ok, I realize I am not going to win over some Aussie friends because of that... !!) I am the proud owner of a '13 Roadster (trade my '11 Storm) and wife rides '11America.
I am following the thread on the risors and are realy in an urgent need for this risers. I just need that extra inch or two closer to my body. My back really kills me. I wrote a letter to Rivco and received the following letter:


"We do not make any risers for the TR3017 Roadsters. I have no notes on any fitment for these models I have heard that people were fitting them to their Roadsters but I am unsure of how. I think it would be better to ask the folks on the forum board what modifications need to be done to get the TR3017 risers to work on the Roadster models.
I am sorry I wish I could help you more but we have no access to any Roadsters to test fitment of the TR3017 risers.

I was just thinking, surely their must be someone living close to Rivco who could take his Roadster their and get this situation sorted out for all us technologically handicapped brothers...?? Thanks for all the info and sharing.

Look at the Post R111R aftermarket installations just a couple of treads above this one. I put them on My R111R and even have a detailed drawing of the tank bracket I built. I also put them on my 2005 and I will agree it was easier but you can do it on the R111R if you want to stop the back pain.

Hi All
Just fitted Rivco risers to a 2014 Roadster, found it easiest to remove the front forks top yoke, reposition the cables & brake pipe, refit top yoke, fit risers.
No need for brake bleed, throttle cables are fine if carefully routed, clutch cable is long enough to go either side of the yoke

Triumph used to sell a kit with the classic pull back bars and the longer clutch cable. I put one on my standard with the Rico risers back in '07.
