Does anybody have a list of the parts required to update an '05 clutch to the latest specs? I know it would need a new pressure plate and bearing as well as the lifter piece but not sure about washers , spacers etc. Part numbers would be handy. The local dealer is a moron and says there is no later lifter etc. for the '05

2013 R3R -
2005 R3 -

They have the same part number listed for #24, so I suspect Triumph didn't bother to change part number, simply replaced the older part with the new one. Hard to know for sure though without ordering both to compare. Your dealer is probably looking at exactly the same thing, which would be why he doesn't see an update.

Thanks for that. However BikeBandit uses their own part numbers so it doesn't help. Also I don't know all of the parts that need to be changed. Waiting for Scott to chime in soon?
I have access to the Triumph numbers just need to confirm which ones to order.

To update or change to the newer style clutch you need the pressure plate along with the roller bearing and lifter piece for lifter piece I use T1170203
The wave washer is the same part number on both and is about worthless except it does not allow the lifter piece to bottom out on the input shaft of the transmission.

The original pressure plate with the flat needle bearing was P/No. T1170021.

The updated plate is P/No. T 1170061 ( & the new-style bearing that goes with it... don't have P/No...sorry.)

As Warp says, the updated lifter piece is T.1170203.

Unchanged are the lifter shaft T 1170041, the wave washer T 3550380, and the spacer T 1170008.

Well, those were the numbers a couple of years back anyway!!!

And get 'em from Andy at North County Yamaha/Triumph in San Marcos.... andy@ncyyamaha.com better deal all round..............
