Ebc clutch springs do indeed suck big time.
All this nonsense about extra load with washers or an extra plate is donkey pies.
I've been down this road a few times and every time I fix the problem it was either from having the wrong order of the stack in the basket or aftermarket trash or someone did not presoak the friction plates.
My advice is to use stock components or quality aftermarket like carpenter.
Are you telling me you changed out a transmission gear to fix a slipping clutch?
I am at a loss for words here of how crazy this has gotten.
Sorry you had or are having so many issues.
The gearbox was giving alot of trouble, kept jumping out of 4th gear. I have had slipping clutch problems since i first built the trike, due to the weight its carrying. Hoping this last combination of Barnett clutch, Carpenter clutch springs and reducing the gearing with lower profile tires will finally nail it 😅. I think of the trike as a work in progress but we are getting there.

Did a 100miles about 1 week ago. Clutch is now operating well. Shame about the steering damper. New one will be fitted tomorrow. Looking for a set o seals to overhaul the old Hyperpro CSC.
