chrome frame covers that don"t fit

Anybody have any issues with the frame covers that Triumph sells that go on the frame in front of the side covers? I bought a pair (discontinued from Triumph) and I'll be ****ed...they aren't even close to fitting right. Any one have a similiar problem like this?

No, but I bought mine 5 years ago.. wonder if there's a difference ... is yours for R3 or Roadster?Are the fitments different?

I would certainly think that all Rocket 3's are the same framewise, whether classic or roadster.

Is that part of the Touring frame different?

Maybe they changesd the mounts do to the extra wireing for the ABS. I seem to remember that little infil panels made from carbon fiber manufacturers being roadster specific. I think. It should not be to hard to modify as long as the fram tube is the same. But then I have been wondering if the covers he is refering to are for the frame over the fender or the ones in the middle right down from the rear of the fuel tank by th elittle infill panels?

I'd assumed the chromed covers for the ( nearly) vertical ( frame) down tubes...but

Iam referring to the frame tubes at the rear of the tank...in front of the side covers. The chrome frame covers that I have have brackets on them that are way too long......before I started modifying them I wanted to find out if anybody else had done it before.....

2012 Roadster.....did your frame covers bolt right on the two spots behind the little black plastic triangular covers?

They do on the regular R3, take off the plastic (2x star bolts) covers, fit chrome frame covers , rebolt plastic covers on top.
