Charging Issue

Spoke to our resident electrical guru last night @DEcosse ...gonna replace the battery today and change over to a series type regulator to reduce the load on the stator as soon as I can get one in

Keep us posted on your regulator up grad. I may do mine at some point. Pics would be good with the fitment.

No problem deer slayer. You amd the missus healin up ok? I told her on fb that I have a few parts layim around if you need them.

I'm fine, Melissa is still pretty sore but is on the mend. She got pitched, I just kinda slid off after it was down. Insurance is going to total it. I'm waiting for the payout offer right now. Once that's settled I'll start looking for parts. Thanks for the offer !

very late on this one
i have seen trucks that had enough volts to start the motor but not enough volts to make the alternator work. bat replace and all was good.

This is the thread two years ago when @DEcosse introduced us to the Shindengen R/R:

Bad Voltage Regulator ...OR?

I purchased it, as did a number of other captains, and you can see photos there.

It is plug'n play electrically, but has a slightly different form factor and will not directly mount where the old one is.
