Carpenter 240 Kit questions

bring it to RAA west next month ,will be riding southern utah, moab, bryce, zions, grand canyon and points
I ordered Carpenter's exhaust with mine. But they don't put a baffle in unless you order one. It hurt my ears, so I ordered a baffle.

Race tech, buy once, be very happy (ofcourse there are other the ohlins) just make sure they dont over spring rate ya, let them know the bike is lighter than stock, give good info if they dont ask dont but that kind
I’ll second Racetech. I have them on the rear with Traxxion on the front. Speedy is the man to get info on for shocks.

That’s another thing I was thinking about! I was considering new suspension when I get a new rear tire once she returns. No idea which shocks to get.
If you charge hard into the corners I switched to the dot 5 that is compatible with dot4, it has a higher boiling point and irt elimanated my brake fade as dr.d stated you pick up speed so much quicker

Those are fantastic numbers for a 210 kit. As for the exhaust, I always wear ear plugs and helmet now so I’ll see how loud it is with both of those. I’ll roll the dice on the transmission. If it starts giving me grief I’ll send it to the professionals to rework. From what I’ve read here, the transmission problems with our rockets are usually independent from power modifications.

put a parachute on the back for emergencies

@Steel hurt my bears one time w his, never again
I rode Steel’s bike two weekends ago and it was very loud with considerable decel pop. Very hard acceleration in the upper revs but more sound than was good for me without ear plugs. That much power is awesome and deserves a lot of respect.

251 hp.

Im seeing 206, 216, 225, just looking out of curiosity, like why these numbers are what they are for a 240 kit, im down with all the items that make a difference. Just started going through these threads as reading material thats all.
Carpenter builds race engines, and tests them for track conditions. MR12 race fuel, no filters just velocity stacks on the throttle bodies, and Carpenters exhaust. If you run smaller intake than recommended or different exhaust especially with smaller header pipes then expect lower numbers. I have K&N RX4040s and tuned with pump gas (Shell 93) and have 251 hp from my 265 kit.
I'd see about getting it over to Tommy Micelli for final tuning. It will be loud enough to ride, but you won't win a loud pipe competition against Harleys with open pipes.
According to Bob they are broken in by the time they are done on the dyno.
