I picked up a seat pad from Wal-Mart that was intended for a car for less than $20. Someone posted on another forum that they were very good for butt-relief on long rides. I stuck it in my saddlebag and at about the 700 mile mark on my Iron-Butt ride I put it on my stock Rocket seat. Wow....big difference. It helped a lot and I was able to finish the 1,040 mile ride in relative comfort. It's not a true gel pad but feels like one to the touch. It fits the stock seat well and has a removable-washable cover. Can't beat the price. I can't say enough about how well this pad worked. On the other site they have named this the "Wally-World Waffle Pad".
Have since installed the solo seat with rider backrest. Love the seat but the jury is still out on the backrest. I need to experiment with the adjustments.

RocketDaryl, I believe the Rivco risers are two inch height and one inch pull back.
I wound up with the Brakeway cruise control. A bit pricey at $200 it works great and is really well made and thought out. I'll post photos soon as I've also added a 7" taller windscreen available through Triumph for $209. It just won't stop raining here with a chance of snow below 1000' elevation tonight.

Which model of Brakeway did you purchase ? I went to their website and did not see a model for the R3. Looks like a nice unit.

HeR3tic, about those "butt beads" I am not really sold on them. I used one on the RAII to Nashville and didn't really think that it helped. Of course since I weigh "a little more" than you that may have been the problem. A skinny guy like you might be more comrfortable on it.
I've gotten a padded gel seat (forget which brand) but haven't had a chance to use it on a long trip yet...for some reason.
